Vintage MCM Gerald Thurston (1914-2005) for Lightolier Swing Arm Table Lamp

Designed by Gerald Thurston (1914-2005) for Lightolier, this vintage mid-century modern table lamp combines sleek industrial functionality with elegant minimalist aesthetics. This lamp features a wide, "flying saucer" shade that is intended to diffuse a warm, downward glow. A dynamic, articulating brass swing arm supports the shade and is attached to a slender, height-adjustable brass and chrome central stem, itself firmly anchored to a sturdy, circular base. Sure to impress, this classic design showcases the innovative balance of materials and adjustable geometry characteristic of the high-end, mid-century lighting design of the 1950s. In good to fair condition, with wear and scratches consistent with age throughout. Please see photos for details.
