Antique Wooden Photographic Contact Printing Frame

authentic piece of vintage darkroom equipment, highly collectible for enthusiasts of historical photography and alternative process printing. Wood Frame Assembly: A compact, sturdy wooden frame featuring grooved corner joinery and a warm varnished patina. The frame is designed with semi-circular finger cutouts on the sides for easy handling of internal contents. Hinged Pressure Back: Equipped with a dual-section hinged wooden backboard that allows a photographer to check the exposure progress without fully disturbing the alignment of the negative and photographic paper. Spring Tension Bars: Secured by two pivoting flat spring steel tension straps anchored by circular metal washers and screws, ensuring uniform contact pressure across the entire frame window. Condition: The printing frame is in antique, functional condition. The wood elements exhibit a beautiful aged patina with light surface handling marks and minor storage scuffs. The central hinge operates smoothly. The metal spring tension clips and flat straps retain strong spring retention and pivot as intended, showing an authentic surface oxidation layer consistent with age.
