Antique Cast Iron Anvil Hardy Tool & Blacksmith Hammer Lot

his antique metalworking lot features a collection of traditional blacksmithing forge tools and heavy-duty shop hammers. Blacksmith Anvil Hardy Tool: A solid cast iron bottom stake hardy tool designed to drop into an anvil's hardy hole. Features a tapered, pointed horn section transitioning to a square shank anchor base. Double-Faced Sledge Hammer: A vintage heavy splitting or striking mallet fitted with a long wooden handle. The forged steel head is stamped with an "8" indicating its weight rating. Retains traces of its classic red industrial finish. All-Metal Chipping Hammer: A unique weld-chipping or specialty hammer featuring a solid steel tube handle welded directly to a pointed, cross-peen style striking head. Condition: The tools are in rustic, antique condition with an authentic weathered patina from age and forge storage. All three pieces exhibit oxidation, surface rust, and typical pitting across the cast and forged steel surfaces. The wooden handle on the 8lb sledge shows surface checking, scuffs, and historical wear but remains firmly seated within the eye of the hammerhead. The striking faces show typical flattening and cosmetic wear consistent with operational use.
