Cast bronze figural group of a Cheyenne warrior charging on horseback with a lance, the horse at full gallop over a rocky ground, set on a black stone oval plinth. A brass plaque on the base is engraved "CHEYENNE BY FREDERIC REMINGTON". Measures 14 inches tall by 22.5 inches wide. The Cheyenne is one of Remington's best-known equestrian compositions, first modeled in 1901. Located on the lower level of the home. Removal is out the walkout patio door and around the outside of the house, so there are no stairs, but plan the load-out before auction day. This is a large, heavy piece: bring sufficient help and equipment to move and load it. No assistance is provided on site.
