Make: Smith & Wesson Model: M&P (Pre Mod 10) Caliber: .38 SPL Action: DA Barrel: 6 Bore: Bright Serial # 989180 Condition: Very Good This Smith & Wesson Military & Police 4th Change (Pre Model 10) is chambered in .38 SPL and features a 6" barrel. .the serial number is strictly numerical with no letter prefix (989180), it falls into the high-end production block spanning 1940 to 1945. Many 5" and 6" barrel variations were produced for civilian defense, law enforcement, and training purposes during this wartime era.
