The Remington Model M540X is a vintage, bolt-action, single-shot .22 LR target rifle manufactured by Remington Arms starting in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Highly regarded for its exceptional accuracy and crisp, light trigger, it was built specifically for competitive smallbore target shooting and training. It features a robust bolt system with multiple rear locking lugs, this gives the action immense strength and a tight lockup, a heavy bull barrel, blued finish, it is equipped with an adjustable butt plate target stock, and has a front globe sight and rear sight mount (No Rear Sight Included).
