Vintage handmade Double Wedding Ring quilt in the classic interlocking-rings pattern, measuring approximately 90" x 75". Each ring is pieced from dozens of colourful scrap fabrics, including florals, stripes, plaids, gingham, houndstooth, paisleys and bold mid-century mod prints, set on a crisp white ground. The rings are joined with four-patch cornerstones in two shades of green and finished with a wide lime-green border. The quilt has crosshatch quilting across the white background and quilted lines along the border. The fabric mix, including novelty and op-art style prints, points to the 1960s-1970s.
