The Mercury 114 was built by Ford of Canada for the home market as a more affordable model for the Mercury dealers to sell. Basically a red badged and dressed up Ford, although with more chrome accents and a unique Mercury head grille treatment. This unit is an older complete restoration with FORDS famous flathead V8. Recent updates are new carburetor and fuel pump and the gas tank has been cleaned and resealed. New COKER classic whitewall tires and tubes have been added. 1948 production was only 2716 units, so this a rare model 2 door sedan to add to a collection or drive as a Canadian only classic.
